The location will be staffed by experienced customer service specialists, who can schedule furnace and air conditioning tune-ups, safety checks, and emergency HVAC repair appointments. They can also help with replacement equipment estimates as needed. The specialists will rotate shifts among Dor-Mar’s seven offices in Newark, Columbus, Westerville, Reynoldsburg, Grove City, Zanesville and now, Dublin.

“We’ve been providing heating and air conditioning services in the Newark area since my grandfather started the company in 1962,” said Steven Brewer, owner of the family-run business. “We decided we could better serve our Dublin-area customers by staffing an office right here in Dublin.”

While the office will not be open to customers 24 hours a day, the phone lines will be staffed for emergency no-heat or no A/C service all day, every day. Dor-Mar offers fast, same-day heating and cooling service at no additional charge.

“We like to think we provide the fastest, most reliable HVAC service in the area, especially since we don’t charge extra,” Steven said. “We have an advantage over our competitors because of the number of trucks we have out in the field, and the number of highly-trained, certified furnace and AC techs.”

“We currently have more than 40 employees working out of seven locations, all who are passionate about taking care of our customers’ needs,” he said. “This new office will make things run a little smoother.”

The opening couldn’t come at a better time, with winter and frigid temperatures just around the corner. He recommends customers get their furnaces checked now, before the temperatures fall very far. When the temperatures drop, and the furnace fires up for the first time of the season, that’s when they tend to fail. And because of demand, prices spike up sharply, but not Dor-Mar prices.

“I like to joke ‘pay me now or pay me later,’” he said, referring to the potential savings that preventative maintenance brings. Every customer is automatically enrolled in their service contract program. He said they reach out to their customer base in the spring, before air conditioners are used for the first time, and in the fall, when temperatures are mild, to service equipment before it’s really under load. The service contract is a safety valve to ensure no families are uncomfortable or in danger from unsafe equipment, and is a ‘smash hit’ with their customers. He urges homeowners go ahead and schedule their fall tune-up sooner than later to avoid the uncomfortable feeling of no heat when the temperatures drop.
