Dr. Jacque Colbert’s Pink & Black Gala raised 11k in donations to support local grass roots non-profit organizations

Dr Jacque Colbert, in support of “The Rose” presented her second annual Pink & Black Gala. The Pink & Black Gala is a fundraiser event dedicated to supporting breast cancer awareness and treatment. On Saturday, October 16, 2021, guests attended the gala dressed in a combination of pink and/or black attire to pay homage to those who survived and those currently in the fight to ring the cancer free bell. With the mood in the room being fun and festive, breast cancer survivor Dr Jacque Colbert’s life goal is to celebrate life as she has been cancer free for 13 years.
Knowing all too well the challenges that black and brown people face in the fight against breast cancer, Dr Jacque Colbert donates her time to assisting those who lack the means and support to get the help they need. . This is the second year that Dr Jacque Colbert has hosted this event, and each year she increased the fundraising goal from the previous year in aiding those in need. This year Dr. Colbert donated 10k to support “The Rose” and 1k to support “Angels Fighting Cancer.” “The Rose, “a non-profit organization helping the insured and uninsured receive necessary testing and treatment that supports through every phase of the process. The following would not have been possible without the support of donors who selflessly gave in honor of the event this year. ; Wealth Standard Financial, Organized Shift, Easy Spirit, Max Mara, along with generous supporters like the Podcast, Built4Agility, Anaono, and more.
Breast Cancer awareness is not limited to the month of October, but is a year-round fight for those impacted by this horrible disease. Dr Jacque Colbert will continue to advocate through other initiatives and keep the conversation relevant to garner support beyond the month of October.
