The Healy Family Announces Acquisition of Waukesha’s Superior Crane Corporation

Family takes reins at 68-year-old crane design, engineering, and manufacturing company with many exciting plans for customers and employees

WAUKESHA, Wisc. - November 9, 2019 /MarketersMedia/ —

The Healy family announced its acquisition of the Superior Crane Corporation, one of the country's leading overhead material-handling equipment design, engineering, manufacturing, and service companies since its 1951 founding. Although Robert Healy was already an owner in the company, members of the Healy family joined forces to purchase the remaining shares from the Sharp Family of the prominent firm.

Now part of the Healy Manufacturing Group, Superior Crane Corporation features an industry-leading range of capabilities and products, making it one of the nation's top full-service overhead material-handling equipment specialists. The Healy family plans to lead the 68-year-old company to new levels of success, ensuring plenty of exciting future developments and opportunities for customers and employees, with updates to be posted on social media regularly.

Under the Healy family's stewardship, for instance, Superior Crane Corporation recently celebrated the start-to-finish fabrication of the first batch of kit cranes to be produced at its new focus factory. That newly opened facility will help Superior Crane Corporation serve its customers at an even higher level by allowing it to still more efficiently and responsively cater to consistently high demand for kit cranes. While doing this SCC in the process of building one of its largest finished weight cranes in the company's history.

Management has also worked on adding more incentives in building a stable workforce by adding a company match for the 401K program, investigating insurance programs that will work for the employees and families and starting the foundations in creating a SCC training school.

While SCC is working on continuous improvements throughout all areas, they still stick to what they do best which is quality and being a one-stop shop. In Machining, all parts that are needed to be machined are done in house including gear cutting for SCC's own gearboxes. The machining group also does replacement parts for other crane manufacturers, along with job-shop machining work for aerospace, nuclear, mining, hydraulic and bottling industry clients. Our Service and Parts departments will help any company with their upkeep of overhead materials by providing inspections, parts and components that need to be replaced or a repair team whenever your business is shut down due to your crane not working properly.

"We're proud to announce that we have acquired Superior Crane Corp and have many ambitious, exciting plans for this historic company's future," said Superior Crane Corporation President and CEO Robert Healy. "The Superior Crane Corporation name has stood for quality, service, and reliability for 68 years, and we of the Healy family are proud to be leading this storied firm to even greater heights. From our new kit-crane focus factory to the latest goings-on in our machine shops, we'd like to thank the many dedicated Superior Crane Corporation employees who take such pride in their own work. We promise our customers that we'll repay the confidence and trust they have in us many times over as we turn Superior Crane Corporation into even more of a leader in the field."

DENVER — Fourth-year quarterback Brandon Allen sparked Denver's stagnant offense, throwing for two touchdowns in his first career NFL start and leading the Broncos past the stumbling Cleveland Browns 24-19 Sunday. "We're not ready to put him in Canton yet, but overall very pleased with his play," Broncos coach Vic Fangio said. In his first start in 1,402 days, Allen threw a 21-yard pass to Courtland Sutton and a 75-yarder to rookie tight end Noah Fant , and Phillip Lindsay ran nine times for 92 yards and a touchdown. Philadelphia Eagles run over Buffalo Bills in 31-13 win

Nov 19, 2019

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Lane Johnson isn't sure what the Eagles proved except to silence their critics for one week after their run game and defense trampled the Buffalo Bills. "What are we, 4-4? It looks like we're average," the starting right tackle said, injecting a profanity into his comment for emphasis. "We needed a damn win. That's really what it all boiled down to. It felt good to get one." Having spent the past week listening to how awful and soft they were following a 37-10 loss at Dallas, the Eagles responded by snapping a two-game skid with a...

Missed PAT sends Falcons home empty from long trip

Nov 19, 2019

GLENDALE, Ariz. — The Atlanta Falcons mounted a massive second-half comeback, rallying from 17 down to pull within a point of tying Arizona. All they needed was an extra point to tie the game and hopefully send it to overtime, possibly pull out a much-needed win. When Matt Bryant's try sailed wide left with 1:53 left, the Falcons fell flat again, adding another way to lose in a season quickly spiraling away from them. Of all Atlanta's 2019 missteps, Sunday's 34-33 loss to the Cardinals may hurt the worst — and possibly be the final act of coach Dan Quinn's...
